Santa Rosa (where the wedding will be) is convenient, but a big suburban town. If you're staying just for one night, you may want to stay here. If you're coming for the whole weekend, you may want to choose one of the smaller, more quaint surrounding "wine country" towns that are within 20 minutes of the wedding site. Our suggestion is the town of Calistoga, see below.
SANTA ROSA:
Flamingo Hotel: ($179)
We have a small block of rooms at the Flamingo. When you call to make a reservation, be sure to mention Gleeson-Prosnit Wedding. This is a 5 minute drive to downtown Santa Rosa and a 10 minute drive to the wedding site or easy taxi ride. Great pool area!
Hampton Inn, Rohnert Park: 707-586-8700
(still rooms left as of Aug 10 at the prices below)
Sept 3: $186
Sept 4: $143
Hilton Santa Rosa ($200+)
This is the closest hotel to the wedding site, so if you're just coming for one night, you might consider it. (You can practically walk it's so close.) It's not in the downtown area, so there's not much to walk to near the hotel, but it's near the highway and about a 5-10 minute drive to downtown Santa Rosa.
Fountain Grove Inn ($150+)
Also very close to the wedding site. Right near the Hilton.
Hyatt Santa Rosa ($200+)
Walking distance to the historic part of downtown Santa Rosa and Old Railroad Square.
Marriott Courtyard ($150+)
Walking distance to the historic part of downtown Santa Rosa and Old Railroad Square.
Best Western Wine Country Inn ($129+)
One of the more affordable hotels in Santa Rosa (definitely no Hilton, but still just fine.) Very convenient & close to wedding site, so would be easy if you're coming just for the night. Not in the cutest area to walk around, but right off the highway and an easy 10 minute drive to downtown.
WINDSOR: The town of Windsor if just north of Santa Rosa.
Hampton Inn Windsor: $149+
(as of Aug 10, labor day weekend is sold out)
10 miles north of Santa Rosa, but more affordable, the Hampton Inn is a Hilton owned hotel.
CALISTOGA:
If you'd like a more quaint wine country weekend, we recommend Calistoga. It's really cute little town with one short main street full of great restaurants, B&Bs, shops and cafes. Calistoga is actually in Napa County, but not too far from Santa Rosa (about a 15-20 minute drive to the wedding site). The town is known for its hot springs and mud baths and there are many wineries a short drive from here.
B&Bs in Calistoga:
Calistoga Inn $140+
Brannan Cottage Inn $220+
Hotels & Motels in Calistoga:
Best Western
